The calculator doesn't need your car, either

The vehicle type, water pump choice, shop type, and ZIP code you enter into the calculator on the home page are processed entirely inside your browser. None of it is transmitted to us or stored on any server we run. Close the tab and the inputs are gone.

If you write to us

Our contact form asks for a name, an email address, and a message. That reaches us so we can reply, and it passes through the form-delivery service that routes it. We do not use it for anything beyond answering you, and we do not sell it.

Cookies, ads, and analytics

Like most sites that carry advertising, we use cookies from Google and its partners to serve ads and to see, in aggregate, which pages get read. Google's advertising cookies can factor in your visits here and on other sites to decide what to show you; you can turn that off at Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or review the vendors involved at aboutads.info. We also run Google Analytics, which reports on traffic patterns without identifying you personally. A browser opt-out add-on exists if you would rather it not run at all.

Your choices

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland see a consent banner on the first visit and can accept or decline non-essential cookies there. Clearing your cookies resets that choice. Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or opt out of its sale or sharing. The fastest route for any of that is the contact page.

How long we keep things

Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to answer you and for our own records. We do not sell information submitted through our forms, and we share it only with the vendors that help us operate the site, such as analytics, advertising, and form-delivery providers.

Children

This site is written for adult drivers and vehicle owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will move. Questions about your data go through the contact page.
